My name is Matt B. I am a retired U.S. Coast Guard Aircrewman and flightsimming is my hobby. I love all prop driven aircraft and lately I have been flying a Dehavilland DHC-5 Buffalo. I am looking forward to flying for Misty Air!

Hi Matt, welcome to Misty Air.

With your experience with the DHC5 you might be able to help with a few problems some of us are getting with it. Are you using FSX?

Cheers

Mark

Hi Matt,

Welcome to Misty Air Matt, hope you enjoy your stay with us. Any problems let us know.

I've just ypdated you to Charter Pilot, and you should now have full access to the site. Your Misty call-sign is Misty 086.

Our Buffalo is grounded at the moment due to technical problems, which model are you using ?

Edit: Mark posted his reply while I was posting

MarkB- Yes, I do have FSX and so far I havent had any problems... what problems have you been having? I am using the "dhc5afx" which is the Canadian Forces Buffalo, I had some "fatal errors" with "dhc5unx" the United Nations Buffalo and FSX kept crashing on me, once I installed the correct model though I havent had any problems (that I know of).

I love flying the Buffalo as it reminds me of the C-130 that I flew on in the Coast Guard (with the ramp and door). Any plans for a C-130 in the future?

Matt B

P.S. Thank you to everyone that welcomed me and once again I look forward to flying with everyone!

You can see the issues we've had here: Misty Air Community (http://mistyair.net/forums/showthread.php?t=764)

As you can see another member has tweaked it, any comments or testing would be appreciated.

As for the C-130, I doubt we'd adopted it. It's a little big for us plus it's quite expensive (for the Capt Sim one) and I've never seem a decent FSX freeware version about. Even so, like I say, it's a bit big and expensive to run for a med size Bush company.

Take care

Mark

I did have the same problem as everyone but just kept working the throttles and condition levers thinking it was me, I will try the fix that was uploaded by Redhawk and give it a go!

Thanks Mark!
