The bad news is that the good ol' stationair was found to have an oil leak on arrival back at Sitka. It is due a service so I'll have that done at the same time.
The good news is that I have picked up a charter to take a couple of suits to Scud River, but of course I don't have an aircraft. So on the mobile and hope to find something available. I have a couple of mates who may be able to help. For a price I guess.
Watch this space.!!!!

Well I managed to find another aircraft but only a Maul and a pretty clapped out one at that.
I put it to the suits that maybe we should wait but they were adamant that they wanted to go.

We set off in fairly windy weather which made for a bumpy ride and it wasn't long before one of the suits was chucking up everywhere. Great.
I decided to stop off at Kake for him to recover.

We set off again but is wasn't long before it became apparent that we couldn't continue. These guys may be tough in the boardroom but in the air they are wimps.
So it was decided that we put down at Petersburg.

So I am now stuck at Petersburg with two unwell suits and a clapped out Maul.
Now I wonder if my Stationair is ready and if it is how can I get it here to be able to continue.
The suits are now comfortable in a local hotel and they have decided to have a couple of days rest before continuing.
Thet HAVE to get to Scud River but I think they now see the sense in waiting for a more suitable aircraft and more importantly better weather.
But in fairness to them it wasn't the most comfortable ride.
I'm surprised they still have faith in me!!!

Richard, there is a bloke at Petersburg with a Piper Arrow III for hire, I don't know its condition but might be worth casting an eye over it (www.flightsim.com (http://www.flightsim.com) link-> pa28r201.zip (http://www.flightsim.com/kdl.php?fid=110509))

Unfortunately this aircraft is unavailable for hire at the moment.
Still looking but hoping to get the Stationair back.
I've spoken to a mate who says he may be able to bring it over providing HIS mate can find time to come along as well and have a look at a PA28 thats up for grabs???

My mate bought over a Stationair last night, not MY Stationair but a cargo version which he said he had got clearance for me to use to take the suits to Scud River.
I was having a leisurely breakfast this morning and was joined by the suits.
"morning" they said.
"Yep a great day", I replied.
The one said "we were wondering, seeing as how its a nice day and the weather is clear could we go to the mine this morning"
"Don't see why not, if your up for it"
"We was also thinking that maybe we could take in a sight or two"
"What do you have in mind" I asked VERY warily.
"Well we sure would like to see a glacier from the air"
Well the customer is always right, but I'm not sure sight seeing was in the fare.
"OK, lets go as soon as we have finished breakfast"
I thought they had had enough of heights but hey!!

I am really enjoying this now I have given myself a "purpose" well actually making up stories.
I suppose that if you think of everyday things that happen in the real world and all the things that happen to cock it up you can't go far wrong.
