Final leg into Nome complete. Longish leg west towards ILS landing at PAOM. Weather clear. Cargo all dispatched. Xacars pireps all complete. Few days off for a rest now before trying out the new missions.
Still having a problem with the screenshot uploads into my albums. I can't see any of the Iditarod albums I have created.
Interesting set of flights for this event. Would be good to make a proper mission or missions out of it for next year. Perhaps push up the cargo payloads so that heavier aircraft are used - more challenging at smaller airfields, etc. I found the Antonov AN-26 a very capable and well suited aircraft for this event, easily coping with all the main stage airfields. Another in this ilk is its bigger brother, the Antonov AN-32 - more capacity, bigger engines, etc.
