Captains,
First the good news. The server move has been completed. We're now up and running on our new server. Hopefully the problems of the past week will be a thing of the past, or something to that effect.
Which brings me to the bad news... The reason we bumped up the server relocation was our previous host corrupted the main forum database. While we do have backups, the most recent backup was from March 1st. This, of course, means some posts may have been lost and pireps submitted through APU (xacars runs on a separate database and was unaffected). I apologize for this, but it was sadly out of my hands. To the best of my knowledge, it was only the forums database that was affected, however this database holds our APU pireps, our forums/posts and our image gallery. Anything submitted to those during the past week will need to be resubmitted. In the future, I will be running nightly backups, so that if this happens again we'll only lose a day.
If you have any issues with the site, please let me know. This weekend I will start monitoring the site for performance. As I make adjustments to the server, the site may go down for brief periods of time. If that happens, rest assured the downtime will not be as long as it has been this week.
Thanks for your patience during our move. Let's do the time warp again!
~ Nick

Just an update, I'm currently rebuilding attachments, avatars, and updating the counters for the forums, so if you notice something wonky while I'm around for the next couple hours, that's probably it.

Forums have had all diagnostics run and should be fully functional. The xacars database has been restored and so no Iditarod pireps were lost. The downloads database has been restored, although new files uploaded this week will need to be re-uploaded. I have the actual files that were uploaded, however we have lost the database entries recording them... so if you don't have your original file, let me know what it was and I can send it / re-upload it.
I'm going to see if I can salvage any from the APU tables in the corrupted forums database. No promises however. Same for any files submitted to the gallery.
