My name is Robert Williams. I live in Winchester, VA which is about 40 or so miles west of Washington DC. I am a real-world instrument rated Commercial pilot with a tad shy of 500 hours. I'm currently working on my CFI certificate and am a new member of the local Civil Air Patrol.

I started flight simming with FS2002 and have logged all my flight time since. I have around 8000 sim hours. I'm currently a CATVI senior captain and checkpilot for United Virtual Airlines.

I'm really looking forward to being a part of the group here! See you in the misty skies!

Bobby

Welcome to Misty!

I'm sure you'll find us a lot more relaxed in our attitudes and demands, but saying that, get flying!

Take care

Mark

I just wanted to check in once to see when I can expect to be activated as a charter pilot. I'm anxious to try out some of the aircraft repaints.

One more thing to trouble you...I did file a recent pirep, but I still do not see my logged flight on the roster page, nor my name.

By the way, my first flight was a real blast. This is my first time using the Glacier Bay and Tongass sceneries. It all looks great. This is a nice change from flying heavy cargo all the time.

mmm.................OK Robert, I'll pass this on to Nick, unless he reads it here first.

I can see the PIREP here: http://mistyair.net/forums/apu.php?do=pilotinfo&pilot_id=Misty149 but as you're not listed on the pilot roster I'd guess that you aren't registered with the PIREP system.

It used to be a seperate process than registering with the forums. Not sure if Nick put anything in the code so it'll register you automatically, but I can't see a 'register' option in the PIREP system so he might have and it's now broken.

It should be automatic. Perhaps we've run out of 'page'.

'Fraid Nick's the only one can sort this.

It should have registered you automatically via a batch job that runs every hour. It could be that if you try to submit a pirep before that's been done that it fails to add you afterwards... *shrug* Either way, I've got you added Robert. Just took care of it manually for now. Let me know if you have any other issues.

Thank you for helping. I'm still getting the notice at the top of all the pages telling me that I need to post in the forum to become a charter member. That's no big deal though.

Thanks again!

Robert

That should be fixed now too.
